Dunsmuir House, Oakland

The whole film was shot in and around this 1899 mansion in August 1975, with many of its 37 rooms re-papered in dark patterns for the mood and the earthquake damaged pool refilled for the swimming scenes. The city of Oakland owns it and the grounds are a public park.
