Where was Backrooms (2026) filmed?
4 locations on the HorrorMeet Atlas.
- Fraserwood Studio
The Backrooms themselves: production designer Danny Vermette built a 30,000-plus-square-foot yellow labyrinth across four soundstages here, using 37,000 square feet of wallpaper and 29,000 square feet of carpet. Crew members reportedly got lost inside it.
- 2400 Motel
The eerily flat bungalow neighborhood where Clark's employees Kat and Bobby live is this 1946 East Vancouver motor court, 65 rooms across 18 cabins. A Hollywood North veteran that also hosted The X-Files, Supernatural and Yellowjackets.
- Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire Showroom
The furniture showroom whose basement hides the door to the Backrooms is a lonely strip-mall unit wedged between Highway 1 and the Fraser River, a former furniture liquidator now housing an indoor tennis facility.
- Buck Institute / Async Research Facility
The I.M. Pei-designed Buck Institute was 3D-scanned by Kane Parsons to become the Async Research Facility in his original YouTube series, and the building is glimpsed again as Async in the A24 film. Working research campus, view from the road.
