Where was The Descent (2005) filmed?
2 locations on the HorrorMeet Atlas.
- Ashridge Estate, Hertfordshire
The woodland approach to the cabin and the exterior scenes before the women go underground were shot in Ashridge Park. The estate woods are National Trust land with free access.
- Pinewood Studios
Every cave in the film is a set. Simon Bowles built the crawls, chambers and blood pool on stages here because shooting in a real cave was judged too dangerous. The studio is a working facility and closed to the public.
