Filming locations
Where was The Exorcist (1973) filmed?
4 locations on the HorrorMeet Atlas.
- The MacNeil House
The Georgetown corner house where Regan's bedroom window looked out over the drop; a fake wing was built onto it so the fall would land on the steps. Private residence.
- The Tombs
The Georgetown pub where Father Karras drinks and wrestles with his faith, and it shows up again in Exorcist III. Still open, still pouring.
- Georgetown University
Healy Hall and Dahlgren Chapel play themselves, and the chapel is where the statue of the Virgin turns up desecrated. The campus doubled as itself again for Exorcist III.
- Martin's Tavern
The Wisconsin Avenue bar where Karras and Father Dyer drink together, a 1933 Georgetown institution that has barely changed.
