- Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino County
The redwood forest running and chase footage was shot in the coastal woods just north of Mendocino village. It is still a state park open for day use and camping.
- Paradise Cove, Malibu
The beach campfire sequence when Karen first arrives at the Colony was shot at this Malibu cove. It is a private beach club and parking lot but remains accessible for a fee.
- 6607 Hollywood Boulevard
The adult bookstore where Karen goes looking for Eddie Quist was this Hollywood Boulevard storefront. The block has been heavily redeveloped and the shop is long gone.
