The Man They Could Not Hang is a 1939 American horror film directed by Nick Grinde from a screenplay by Karl Brown.It follows star Boris Karloff as Dr. Henryk Savaard, a scientist, is wrongfully convicted of murder and executed. After being revived by his assistant, he seeks revenge on the jurors who sentenced him, trapping them in his house and killing them one by one while revealing his ability to come back from the dead.
