  Several sequences were shot in this 19th century locomotive works, one of the buildings director Alfred Sole secured through his restoration architecture work in Paterson. It is now the Paterson Museum.

• Great Falls of the Passaic, Paterson

  The 77 foot falls in the middle of Paterson appear in the film. The site is now Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park.

• 320 Main Street, Paterson

  The church exteriors were the First Presbyterian Church of Paterson, which was demolished two years after filming. Nothing of the building survives at the site.
