The Landing Strip club, where Maxine dances early in the film, was shot in this fraternal lodge on Osborne Street. It is a private members club.

Maxine's apartment building and the alley beside it, on the block of Hollywood Boulevard that was closed for four days of shooting. The ground floor is storefronts.

The strip club exterior and interior on the south side of Hollywood Boulevard, dressed back to grimy 1985. The block is now mostly tourist retail.
- Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Bodies are pulled from the pond in this cemetery on Santa Monica Boulevard, backing onto Paramount. It is open daily and hosts film screenings in summer.
