Where was They Live (1988) filmed?
6 locations on the HorrorMeet Atlas.
- Crystal Ballroom, Millennium Biltmore Hotel
The aliens' shareholder banquet, where Nada and Frank crash the party, was staged in the Biltmore's ornate ballroom. The 1923 hotel is still open and the ballroom is still rented for events.
- 650 South Spring Street, Downtown Los Angeles
The bank at 7th and Spring is where Roddy Piper walks in with a shotgun and delivers the bubblegum line. The building still stands in the Historic Core and now holds ground-floor retail.
- Holly's house, 8634 Franklin Avenue
The hillside home where Nada forces Holly Thompson to hide him, and where she puts him through a window. This is a PRIVATE RESIDENCE on a narrow street: look from the sidewalk and never knock.
- Baltimore Hotel, 501 South Los Angeles Street
The cheap downtown hotel where Nada and Frank hole up after the alley fight. The building survives on Gallery Row and still operates as low-cost housing.
- 1216 West 7th Street grocery
The corner market at 7th and Garland is where Nada first sees the ghouls behind the sunglasses and starts shooting. The storefront is still a neighborhood liquor and grocery store.
- Los Angeles City Hall lawn
The park beside City Hall on 1st at Spring is where the blind street preacher rails about the ones who control everything. The lawn is now part of Grand Park and is open to the public.
