What HorrorMeet is
HorrorMeet is an independent horror publication and community at horrormeet.com, built and run by working indie horror filmmakers. It covers the genre from inside it: a daily news wire, a mapped atlas of real horror locations, a free library of public-domain horror, a shelf for independent films, and a members' board. No algorithm, no advertising, no paywall.
What we publish
- The wire. Daily horror news, aggregated and linked to the original reporting.
- The Atlas. A mapped, sourced index of filming locations, reportedly haunted sites, decommissioned prisons and ghost towns, each pin carrying an address and a citation.
- The Vault. A curated library of public-domain and Creative Commons horror features, free to watch, streamed by the Internet Archive, with the rights basis printed on every title.
- The Film Shelf. Free listings for independent horror, thriller and paranormal films. We take no fee and no rights.
- Meetups, the Circuit and the Séance. Event listings, festival coverage, and long-form interviews with filmmakers, cast and crew.

What we cover at an event
Carpet arrivals and step-and-repeat, panels, screenings, haunt and attraction walkthroughs, and on-camera interviews with filmmakers, cast and creature crew. Coverage runs on horrormeet.com and on Instagram @horrormeetapp and YouTube. We shoot our own stills and video, we honor embargoes, and we send published links back to the press office.
Requesting coverage
Publicists and festival press offices: send screeners, embargoed announcements, EPKs and credential confirmations to press@horrormeet.com. Independent filmmakers who just want a film listed do not need a publicist and do not need this page: the Film Shelf is free and open, and submissions are reviewed by a human.
Logos and assets
The HorrorMeet wordmark and logo are available on request. Do not alter the mark, recolor it, or use it to imply a partnership that has not been agreed in writing.
