- Courthouse Square, Universal Studios backlot
Kingston Falls, including the snowy town square and the theatre full of gremlins, is this 1948 standing set on the Universal backlot, better known as Hill Valley from Back to the Future. Most of the square has burned and been rebuilt twice since 1984, though the courthouse itself survived.
- Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank
The Peltzer house interiors and much of the gremlin puppetry work were done on soundstages at the Warner lot, with the town exteriors shot up the hill at Universal. The studio still runs public tours.
